Akalon Writers

             Julien R. Angor  was an editor of the New Horizon (Osmeña High School, Manila). She studied at Aklan, College, Kalibo, Aklan, where she became the editor of Aklan College, one of her works is "Manok " December 1991.


             George T. Calaor was born in Malay one of the founder of Akeanon Literary Circle (ALC). he won as 3rd prize in Hiligaynon Category in National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NNCA). All West Visayan Poetry Competition. His a Fellow in 24th UP National Writers Workshop in the Visayas.


              Roman A. dela Cruz was an editor, historian, short story writer, textbook writer, grammarian, lexicography and lay worker. He is editor-publisher of Aklan Reporter, and author of the ff. books "Life with the Family (2000)",  "For the Child King; An Image and a song (2001)", "Out of Too Much Grief (2001)", "Town of a Thousand (1993)", "Concordance On The Truine God (1997)", "Alone Along A Lonely Road (1973; 1987)", "Perception (1998)". The Multi-Ligual Dictionary was the very important contribution in Aklanon Language. he was called the "Dean of Aklanon Journlist". 


               Pett Regno Candido a Radioman and computer-lecture and became an adviser of Akeanon Literary Circle. The Building Pett's Place has been made in Akeanon Literary Circle it became Poet's Place a member of ALC. 
               
               Alexander C. de Juan became one of the vice-chair of ALC and one of the editors it Bueabod. He won first prize in NCCA All-West-Visayan Poetry Competition. He became fellow in 23rd UP National Writers Workshop. His work  "Bakit si Xela ay Nagdighay Pagkatapos Mag-Inom ng Coke" is one of the best work choosen by Isagani Cruz’s Critic’s Choice (April, 1994) Starweek. He studied his master’s degree in UP Diliman. He stayed in Kalibo after his Bachelor of Arts in Literature in UP the Visayas, Miag-ao, Iloilo. A former instructor at STI-College Kalibo.
