Kim Hyun Joong

 (born June 6, 1986) is a South Korean actor and singer. He is the leader of popular boyband SS501 and a prominent style icon in Korea, winning multiple icon awards. He gained widespread popularity beyond Asia for his role as Yoon Ji Hoo in the 2009 hit drama series Boys Over Flowers and is now known worldwide as the perfect Baek Seung Jo in the hit series drama Mischievous/Playful Kiss.

Multi-Media Artist: George Tumaob Calaor

George Tumaob Caraol 

George was born on May 22, 1967 at Notre Dame Hospital in Cotabato City. He was a founding member of Akeanon Literary Circle, Fellow 24th UP National Writers Workshop in the Visayas, and third prize winner in National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) All-West Visayan Poetry Competition (Hiligaynon category). His entry was Pinatubo nga Kasakit. Some of his poems were published in Bueabod and were anthologized in Ani Aklanon and in Patubas.

George writes poetry in Akeanon, Filipino, Hiligaynon and English

He is also involved in all-gays theatre group in Aklan: Butterfly Mobile Theatre Group. He was the script writer and director of Poetry in Motion a la musical stage play “Puta at Ako; Pitong Mukha Bakla, Heretotell.

George has a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education at the Aklan College, now Aklan Catholic College.

George was also affiliated with the following organizations: NUSP-Aklan, CEGP-Aklan, Aklan College Supreme Student Council, Guild of Aklan Student Councils, and Alyansa it mga Kabataan nga Ehemplo ku Atong Nasyon (founding chair). He was also a former Youth Congressman of Aklan.

George is the founding vice chairperson of Sub-eak (local organization of Aklanon lesbians, gays, bisexual and transgender) and current Chairperson of Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (BAYAN) Aklan

Akalon Writers

             Julien R. Angor  was an editor of the New Horizon (Osmeña High School, Manila). She studied at Aklan, College, Kalibo, Aklan, where she became the editor of Aklan College, one of her works is "Manok " December 1991.


             George T. Calaor was born in Malay one of the founder of Akeanon Literary Circle (ALC). he won as 3rd prize in Hiligaynon Category in National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NNCA). All West Visayan Poetry Competition. His a Fellow in 24th UP National Writers Workshop in the Visayas.


              Roman A. dela Cruz was an editor, historian, short story writer, textbook writer, grammarian, lexicography and lay worker. He is editor-publisher of Aklan Reporter, and author of the ff. books "Life with the Family (2000)",  "For the Child King; An Image and a song (2001)", "Out of Too Much Grief (2001)", "Town of a Thousand (1993)", "Concordance On The Truine God (1997)", "Alone Along A Lonely Road (1973; 1987)", "Perception (1998)". The Multi-Ligual Dictionary was the very important contribution in Aklanon Language. he was called the "Dean of Aklanon Journlist". 


               Pett Regno Candido a Radioman and computer-lecture and became an adviser of Akeanon Literary Circle. The Building Pett's Place has been made in Akeanon Literary Circle it became Poet's Place a member of ALC. 
               
               Alexander C. de Juan became one of the vice-chair of ALC and one of the editors it Bueabod. He won first prize in NCCA All-West-Visayan Poetry Competition. He became fellow in 23rd UP National Writers Workshop. His work  "Bakit si Xela ay Nagdighay Pagkatapos Mag-Inom ng Coke" is one of the best work choosen by Isagani Cruz’s Critic’s Choice (April, 1994) Starweek. He studied his master’s degree in UP Diliman. He stayed in Kalibo after his Bachelor of Arts in Literature in UP the Visayas, Miag-ao, Iloilo. A former instructor at STI-College Kalibo.
